letters for a baby room

i made this for one of my coworkers baby boys room, she bought the letters at hobby lobby.... Dont you love the font... awesome... This is what I came up with.... the ribbon is a dark brown and white polkadot and hung on a curtain rod.
and i designed this on the opposite wall... her colors are ("baby"-LOL, naomi!) green-- sage and a chocolate brown.. she wanted polkadots... I advised her to do alternating sizes to break up the monotony and give it depth... look at the outcome...

here is an example of a dark picture under acetate paper with rubons

OKAY I MAY HAVE A NEW FAVORITE... i NEED TO START ON A "DADDY AND ME" PAGE... I LIKE THIS... SOFT COLORS EASY TO PUT WITH ANYTHING... OKAY SO HERE IS MY COMBINING PAPER...... HMMMM CAN I DO IT????ANYTHING COMBINES WITH A CRISP WHITE LINEN (CRISSCROSS) CARDSTOCK--I LIKEY--- okay so for the right side...yep I like the lace, thats a definate... I ADDED SOME PRETTY LACE TRIM LOOKS SEA BLUE IN PIC, BUT IN REALITY IS A SOFT BLUISH GREY-- i likey so far-- THIS IS WHAT the blue lace looks like( ALL PICS TAKEN WITH MY IPHONE, NOT COLOR-GUARANTEED)
OH NO!!! ...except the fact that you faintly see the word Fat above the brown vertical word father --a light but noticeable horizontal-- word Fat-- hmmm...

i fix by putting a nice square rosette in the place...im thinking something like this for left side
okay lets get going on the right side-- okay, okay-I'M CHEATING WITH THIS 12X12 of combining journaling squares-I ussually never do coordinating paper and embellishments, but I needed quick and easy. I cut it and left these 3 together to act as a border and added a strip of this brown and tan ribbon.. so far so goodmore progress on left side- some light beige metal tags and use same ribbon as the right side to tie the brown to this pageand right side also i coming along
i added heidi grace light blue rubons on acetate paper. I cut to size of picture mat and then decorated, adding a nice touch. Once you put picture underneath the clear acetate paper and then and you can see through, these rubons with stand out gorgeously. Soft and detailed, love it!!!!orright side with same details... rubons on acetate paper final layout.

this is the paper---

can u tell the small embossed butterflies on the letters

the name page... I always like to include a name page or double map to bring attention and meaning to why it was chosen... this coordinates with the colors of the nursery it will be the first double map in the book after the ultrasound page "anticipation".
THIS IS WHERE I BEGIN... THE PAPER... THEN COMBINE IT WITH SOME COMPLIMENTARY CARDSTOCK OR PLAIN ............

CHECK OUT THIS CUTE LITTLE BIRDIES....... RUB ONS I LOVE IT!!!!

I ADDED THESE TAGS TO SOME WHITE CARDSTOCK AND EDGED THE ALL THE SIDES AS THE PATTERNED PAPER is TO MAKE IT Unison (sp?)

LEFT SIDE

RIGHT SIDE

THIS IS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE AS A DOUBLE MAP.... ouch all the mess on the table too.. opps

another page done! ALMOST HALF WAY THROUGH

yes ! the title is vertical... these are some bad ass chipboard letters... They are fancy pants designs-The daily grind by Michelle Coleman. i love them. You may ask yourself what does it take to make something like this??? the paper is BOBUNNY- blush dot-pink polka dot , Tiffany's We R Memory keepers "taylor" exclusive glitter design. White cardstock for picture mats... by AC Cardstocks. White beveled tape by Heidi Swapp "crazy life", green paper by My Minds Eye. Rubons from heidi Swapp- "Raegans' Closet" Icons rubons and words rubons.

so i have a 2 day maximum limit on making a 20 page scrapbook, that is as long as i give myself in order to complete one and still make it profitable for the time invested.... a baby girl scrapbook is what i am working on and hope to have it completed by tomorrow... mind you I am working my real job...and during my breaks... playing with my stuff... here are some pics and ideas and "from this to this"... final results... This is fast approaching on being one of my all time favorites ever.... sweet... my love for colors, patterns, and rubons and tape and everything... daddy thanks for taking us to work with you in the summers... i learned color which benefits me in my craft.........

i'm back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the mass production going on in my office a couple weeks ago

where do i begin... this is was the preliminary creation o my diaper baby shower invitation... theme is monkeys of course.then it took a couple turns and modifications. Although i loved the diaper pin concept to open and close the invitation i was concerned that the diaper pin would easily be broken by the eager recieptant of my handmade creation and I would be criticized for making a faulty item..... then came another idea..... I would instead p ut the diaper pin on top and closing of invite would be page like. circles and dots adorn the diaper..... still more modifications are in store..... the silver cardstock was nice but silver embossed silver cardstock is better. The diaper pin head also get a makeover. Thanks to glossy accents... it is a shiny clear on white cardstock making it a gorgeouse new pin. Monkey also got a makeover with a blue bow tie and a diaper too. The inside of the invitation consists of plain white copy paper with directions, "oh baby" and "come hang with us" for a baby shower honoring ..... covered by a vellum (see thru) with an embossed carriage in the middle with a blue ribbon or "baby boy" ribbon. and about the picture... its just my new hair color... i inadvertantly added to my uploads and cant seem to remove it.... sorry guys.
